Through a range of media including painting, etchings, glass, and papier maché, Tom Prochaska’s work takes a thorough look at his relationships with people and nature.
Tom's landscape paintings reflect his passion for the outdoors and painting 'en plein air'. As a counterpoint to the outward looking landscape paintings, Prochaska has also developed a stunning series of mostly black and white acrylic paintings; all inspired by the inward eye, memory and invented narrative.
Tom Prochaska received his Masters degree in Fine Arts from Pratt Institute in 1970. Since 1988, Prochaska has been teaching at the Pacific Northwest College of Art. He has exhibited extensively throughout the United States and the world, most recently he was included in group exhibits at the Palos Verdes Art Center, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Art Gym, Marylhurst University, Marylhurst, OR; and Print Arts Northwest, Portland, OR. His work can be found in museum collections throughout the world. |
