Seattle artist Robert Yoder is known throughout the Pacific Northwest for his playfully modern re-constructions. His work has been exhibited and collected by nearly all of the major art museums in Oregon and Washington. Using industrial vinyl, reflective tape and magazine pages, Yoder works as a sculptor cutting and combining these materials with his drawings. He translates pattern into language, referencing the written word, cryptology, and even urban planning/cartography.
Robert Yoder was selected as a finalist for the 2008 Neddy Artist Fellowship (http://www.behnkefoundation.org/).
Yoder's work, Bank, was recently acquired by the Portland Art Museum and is now on view in the Arlene and Harold Schnitzer Center for Northwest Art.
